Association studies in pea for yield and yield attributing traits

The present study was conducted to find out correlation and path analysis for 10 yield attributing traits using 159 diverse pea genotypes. Correlation studies revealed that the days 50% flowering, node at which 1st pod appears, number of pods/plant, seeds/pod, length, weight picking had significant positive with total yield/plant while, plant height shelling percentage were negatively correlated yield/plant. inter-correlation observed between 1stpicking 1stpod appears; seeds/pod length; pods/plant picking. It is concluded there 1stpicking. association suggested selection should be oriented towards more pods per plant, seeds would consequently leads higher plant. Path exhibit highest effect on
